"Our recollection of Steve is of a kind, gentle, loving man who was always ready to offer help to anyone and everyone. Regretfully, because of moving with the military and subsequently living at a distance we weren't able to spend as much time with our brother-in-law as we would have liked, but that didn't negate the high regard we had for him as a husband, father and friend. In this time of sorrow, our thoughts are with his sons, their wives and children as well as the rest of his family. We are all diminished by Steve's passing."
